Richard Guest and Sue Guest are two experienced professional interim managers based in the United Kingdom

A results and milestone-orientated Interim executive with over 24 years’ experience at senior board level, Richard has managed multi-site European, Asian and American businesses, ranging from £3m t/o up to £125m turnover.
 

His core experience is in Industrial products and services to the automotive, aerospace, construction, defence, rail and power/ utility sectors (including renewables). Additional NED Experience.

A strong communicator, Sue is a programme management consultant with a respected track record of high-profile programme delivery in the Energy, Utilities and Chemicals industries. Expertise in Skills Strategy, L&D Transformation, Stakeholder Engagement, including senior customer engagement, Programme Management and People Management with a professional background in Health, Wellbeing and Safety.

PROJECTS THAT WE ARE PROUD OF

Power Generation OEM

  • Identified and justified the business need for a greenfield factory in China

  • Completion of pre-feasibility and full feasibility studies, presenting them to the PLC Board for capital approval

  • Established the China subsidiary company, bought the land, managed the construction and also brought the factory into production

Due to a consolidation of the its customer base after the 2008 financial crisis, this client needed to ensure that it could retain its core customer base and develop others.

Wind Turbine OEM

  • Renegotiated a major loss-making project, leading to it becoming break-even

  • Development of robust project-management systems and complementary risk-management and project-reporting mechanisms

  • Recruitment of necessary competent project management personnel and new permanent Projects Director

 

This German Wind Turbine OEM had been acquired by a UK PLC and was loss making, primarily due to its having undertaken rapid growth without the necessary process disciplines being established.
